<p>Have you read any popular self improvement or motivational books? If you have, most likely there are some chapters in the books that talk about the importance and effectiveness of doing affirmation regularly to install positive self-concept into your mind. But, if affirmation is so important and effective, then how come there are still a lot of people who do not get optimum results even after rigorously affirming day in and day out? After doing careful research and experimenting with my own affirmations, finally I found out why my affirmations did not produce the results that I wanted. Please follow along this guide to be able to get optimal results for your affirmations.</p>
<p><strong>1. Do your affirmation in a hypnosis state</strong>. How do you usually do your affirmation? Do you post your scripts and pictures everywhere in your house, in your car, and in your office? The idea behind this is to overwhelm your mind with positive aspects so that your mind can absorb them easily. But, if all these visual inputs are done while you&#8217;re still fully awake, you won&#8217;t be able to get the full benefits, because your critical factor will usually interfere in the process. By going into a hypnosis state first, your affirmation will meet minimum or no resistance and you will be able to get greater benefits in a shorter period of time.</p>
<p><strong>2. Do your affirmation at night before going to bed</strong>. When you are sleepy and about to go to bed at night, your brainwave will enter the alpha or theta state which is ideal for your affirmation, because your critical factor will be much less active in these states.</p>
<p><strong>3. Use affirmation for short-term goals</strong>. If you use it for long-term goals, you will see the results much later, and your mind might begin wondering if the affirmation works or not. Instead, use it for shorter term goals and once you reach them, keep upgrading the goals until you reach your desired long-term goals.</p>
<p><strong>4. Limit you affirmation to a maximum of 3</strong>. If you do too many affirmations at a time, your subconscious mind might be confused and its power will be spread over too many things at a time. To get the best results, it&#8217;s best to focus on a few at a time.</p>
<p><strong>5. Re-write your affirmation when necessary</strong>. If you don&#8217;t see any result after using the affirmation for 2 weeks, it&#8217;s time to re-write it. Please choose words and sentences that have maximum impact on you. Also make sure that you use only positive-structured sentences.</p>

<p>Do you have a belief that you have to pursue as high academic achievement as possible to achieve success? Do you feel that everybody around you seems to be pursuing higher degrees of education and as such you have to follow them if you don&#8217;t want to be left behind? With the increasing global competition, it&#8217;s only natural if anybody wants to get as high academic achievement as possible. But do you think this will guarantee your success in life?<br />

<p>A study by an American scientist, Dr. Eli Ginzberg, which involved 342 graduates of Colombia University, revealed an amazing story. Those who graduated with the highest academic achievements tend to have mediocre achievements in their career. You can also do this while you&#8217;re feeling sleepy and about to go to bed, since in this state your mind will also offer minimum resistance. This eventually can help you lose weight faster.</p>
<p><strong>3. Body Sculpting Session</strong>. Once you lose weight, it&#8217;s important for your mind to be able to accept your new body shape, so that you don&#8217;t revert back to your old body. This session will help in changing your internal image of your body.</p>

<p>Hi, my apology for keeping you waiting for part 2 of The Secret of <a href="http://www.selfhypnosisrealm.com/recommends/weight_loss_one/" target="_blank"><strong>Weight Loss Self Hypnosis</strong></a> Techniques. In part 1, I talked about one vital information that&#8217;s been holding you back on your journey for weight loss. As you remember, your main enemies are basically the negative beliefs and patterns that have been stored in your subconscious mind. Now that you know your enemies, how can you get over them? Please follow me as we delve deeper into why self hypnosis can be the solution that you&#8217;ve been looking for so long.<br />

You still need to spend some effort to stick to the program. But the effort involved is nothing compared what you have to do without it. <p>1. <strong>Eat less</strong>. This sounds simple enough, but actually harder to practice in reality. Because if you are overweight, chances are you tend to eat more than your body needs. I am not talking about hypothyroidism or other sicknesses that can cause you to gain weight abnormally, because for these cases you have to consult with your doctors for help. With the regular cases, the habit has usually been with you for some time, so to change it will require a high motivation and discipline level to stick with the diet program which may feel like a torture for most of us. Luckily with the help of self hypnosis techniques, you can easily change this habit by removing it and installing new beliefs and habits that support your goal.</p>
<p>2. <strong>Eat healthier food</strong>. To lose weight, it&#8217;s also essential that you reduce or even remove unhealthy foods such as fattening foods, sugary foods, etc from your meal menu and shift to healthier food like vegetable and boiled foods. Unfortunately, with the constant bombardments of tantalizing fast food ads on TV since we&#8217;re kids, the pattern have been set in our subconscious mind without us realizing it. But, don&#8217;t worry, because this can also be easily re-patterned with this amazing techniques.</p>
<p>3. <strong>Exercise regularly</strong>. There are so many excuses that we usually come up for not doing this. Ranging from &#8220;I am too heavy to move&#8221; to &#8220;I don&#8217;t have energy to exercise because I eat less now&#8221;. This happens because we may have been too comfortable in our old patterns of lazily sitting on our couch while eating and watching TV. Hei, I am guilty of doing this also in the past =). It can improve your mood, make you feel energized and look better, help you fight chronic diseases and strengthen your heart and lung. <p>Once your new patterns have been installed, it will be so easy and effortless for you to go through the 3 main factors above. <p>Have you been struggling to lose weight all your life? Are you frustrated with all kind of  diet plans that promise easy way out at the beginning, but at the end actually lead you to nowhere? Or maybe you successfully lost some weight, but after some time it just bounced back even more than before? <p>In our busy lives, we are often faced with many different new challenges all the time. Sometimes we can overcome them easily, but other time, we may find them to be insurmountable obstacles. When this happens, usually we will be stressed out trying to find different ways to overcome the challenges. Unfortunately, when our minds and bodies are being stressed all the time without being given proper relaxation, mental and physical breakdowns may happen. To prevent this, I will provide you with a practical guide on how to use <a href="http://www.selfhypnosisrealm.com/recommends/relaxation_one/" target="_blank"><strong>self hypnosis techniques to achieve deep relaxation</strong></a>.<br />

<p><strong>1. Find somewhere quiet and comfortable</strong><br />
Try to find someplace where you can sit or lay down comfortably without being disturbed. This first step is important, because with minimal distractions, you will be able to enter hypnosis state easier and faster.</p>
<p><strong>2. Relax</strong><br />
Relax your body by closing your eyes and breathing deeply. Imagine waves of relaxation running down your body slowly from your head to toe. Whenever you exhale, imagine the waves slowly going down your body from your head, moving to your neck, then to your torso, then arms, and finally to your legs. Feel your muscles relaxing as the waves move slowly along your body.</p>

<p><strong>3. Deepening</strong><br />
When you feel your whole body relaxes, keep saying to yourself this sentence several times &#8220;I am feeling relaxed and comfortable. With every breath I am becoming more relaxed and more comfortable.&#8221; This statement will allow you to enter an even deeper state of relaxation.</p>
<p><strong>4. Affirmation</strong><br />
Once you&#8217;re in a deep state of relaxation, you may also read your own affirmations. These can be any positive affirmations that you may want to implant to your subconscious mind. An example may be &#8220;Everyday and every way I am getting better and better&#8221;.</p>
<p><strong>5. Exit</strong><br />
To exit your <a href="http://www.selfhypnosisrealm.com/recommends/relaxation_one/" target="_blank"><strong>self hypnosis relaxation</strong></a> session, you may count from 1 to 5. When the number reaches 5, you say to yourself that you are ready to emerge from your state of relaxation and will feel fully refreshed and awake after emerging.</p>

<p>In my previous post, I have talked about the pros and cons of do it yourself therapy using self hypnosis cds. Now, to complete my guide, I will provide you with the continuation chapter which will talk about the pros and cons of having a direct session with a hypnotherapist.<br />

<p><strong>Direct Session With A Hypnotherapist<br />
Pros:<br />
1. Tailored to your needs<br />
</strong>Every session will be tailored to your needs and there will be more interactions between you and the therapist. Because of the interactive nature of the session, a good hypnotherapist should also be able to resolve some of the deeper and well hidden negative mental blocks that have been preventing you to reach your peak potentials. A professional therapist should also be able to better handle clients with issues that are causing very deep scars such as rape or childhood abuse.</p>
<p><strong>2. Better facility</strong><br />
In addition, the facility should be more comfortable for you to relax. There is usually a &#8220;lazy boy&#8221; type of chair where you can lay down and relax while doing your session. You are also assured that there won&#8217;t be any distractions during your session as opposed to doing it yourself at home.</p>
<p><strong>3. Result may appear faster</strong><br />
As each session is tailored to each client, experienced hypnotherapist will be able to resolve your issue faster some of the times. This is due to the pin point nature of each session, as opposed to the more general nature of self hypnosis cds.</p>
<p><strong>Cons:<br />
1. Can be very expensive<br />
</strong>For a one to one session with a good and experienced hypnotherapist, you may have to spend up to $2000 for your issue to be resolved. Each therapist charges different fee, some charge on a per session basis, while others on per issue basis. So, please check first before you make an appointment.</p>
<p><strong>2. A good hypnotherapist might not be available nearby your location</strong><br />
As stated above, some locations might not have a good and experienced hypnotherapist available. Some might not even have a hypnotherapist available at all. This can be a hindrance for someone seeking help.</p>
<p><strong>3. You need to be open and honest to the therapist</strong><br />
While doing self hypnosis cd session, you just have to be open and honest to yourself, but for a one to one session, you will have to open up yourself to the therapist. This might be a problem for some people who do not want to disclose their past to anyone, even though they can be assured that their secrets should be safe with the therapist.</p>
<p><strong>4. Long waiting list</strong><br />
As we know, for a one to one session, the main constraint is usually time. Specific time slot has to be allocated to each client, so a therapist can only handle a number of clients for one day. Add to this the facts that some therapist are so good and famous that so many people are waiting to have sessions with them. Because of this, some people may choose to listen to the ready-made recordings.</p>

<p>If you are like me, sometimes you might be wondering whether just listening to a self hypnosis cd is good enough for resolving your issues or not. Actually, without a clear understanding, it&#8217;s easy to dismiss it as being ineffective. Because of this, I was compelled to write about the differences between listening to a recording and having a direct session with a hypnotherapist. After thorough investigation and based on my own personal experiences,  I&#8217;ve decided to release my compilation of the pros and cons of both, so that you will be able to decide which one to choose for you own case.<br />

<p><strong>Self Hypnosis CD</strong><br />
<strong>Pros:</strong><br />
<strong>1. Affordable</strong><br />
You can find such products for around $10 and up depending on the authors and the technologies and techniques being used in the recordings. You just have to pay once and can listen to the recordings as many times as you want. For a face to face session, you&#8217;ll have to pay a lot more than this for just one session.</p>
<p><strong>2. Can be done anywhere you want</strong><br />
You can listen to the recording anywhere you want as long as it&#8217;s quiet enough for you to be able to relax your body and mind to enter the hypnosis state.</p>
<p><strong>3. Can be done anytime you want</strong><br />
In addition, you can listen to the recording anytime you want. After a long and stressful day at work, you may want to listen to a recording that may relieve you of your stress, while other time, you may want to listen to a recording that can boost your morale to face the days ahead.</p>

<p><strong>4. Various types of products to choose from for different situations</strong><br />
There are so many types of recordings available in the market. You can pick and choose depending on your needs, such as weight loss, stop smoking, self confidence or some of the more unusual ones like win lottery or grow taller.</p>
<p><strong>5. Customizable to some extend</strong><br />
Some authors allow you to order a custom made recording for your unique issue. This might cost you more than the regular ones, but will still be cheaper than face to face session.</p>
<p><strong>Cons:<br />
1. Not too easy to choose a good product<br />
</strong>Thanks to the popularity of the internet, you can find tons of websites selling various types of self hypnosis cds easily when you search on google. Unfortunately, this can cause problems for new people to choose a quality product. <p><strong>2. More general in nature</strong><br />
Unfortunately, as this kind of recording is used by many people from different backgrounds, the authors usually have to make it a little more general so that it can cover most of the problems people have with a specific issue. If your issue is not covered, you can try to find different products or try to order a custom one built for your specific case.</p>

<p>Welcome back, in my previous post, I talked about the first 3 of the 6 tips for selecting effective self hypnosis cds. Here, I will continue on listing the rest of the tips. I bet you can&#8217;t wait to know the rest, so, lets get going, shall we? The next important factors to consider are:<br />

<p><strong>4. Soothing voice and background music</strong></p>
<p>This might not sound really important for you, but actually it is. Different tone of voices will have different effect on you. You might find a person&#8217;s voice nice and soothing while others find it disturbing. Just imagine if you have to listen to a someone whose voice you find disturbing for 30 minutes. Will you be able to focus on what the voice is saying? This is why, you need to find a recording from someone whose voice you are comfortable with. As for the background music, it will help relaxing your mind so that you can enter the trance state faster and easier. Nowadays, it&#8217;s common to find recordings with binaural beats embedded inside. This should help you enter the state even faster because it fine tunes your brainwaves to resemble the brainwaves of someone under hypnosis. For these type of recordings you will need headphones to enjoy the full effect.</p>
<p><strong>5. Happy customers<br />
</strong></p>
<p>Next, don&#8217;t forget to read past clients&#8217; experiences after listening to the recordings. Try to find reviews other than the ones you find on the seller&#8217;s website. You can search on Google and you should be able to find more objective reviews. After compiling the reviews, you should be able to get a general feeling if this product is for you or not.</p>
<p><strong>6. Choose a hypnotherapist with good credentials</strong></p>
<p>Last, but not least, find a hypnotherapist with good credentials and excellent background. A hypnotherapist with extensive experience of successfully handling different types of clients should be able to produce products that satisfy your needs.</p>
<p>I think these 6 tips are quite enough for you to be able to select self hypnosis cds that suit your needs. Please don&#8217;t forget that you need to listen to these cds regularly for sometime to feel the effect. Some people may experience the change after listening regularly for a couple of days while other have to listen for a whole one month to enjoy the same benefit. <p>If you are new to self hypnosis, most likely you will be confused by the many offerings that are available either offline or online on the internet. To tell you the truth, this also happened to me at the beginning of my journey. I tried and tested various products offered by many different hypnotherapists until finally I realized what really made them click.<br />

<p>Unfortunately, many promise the sky, but only a handful few are able to really deliver on their promises. Based on my own personal experience, I would like to offer you a guide on how to choose effective self hypnosis cds or mp3 downloads. I will guide you step by step on how to spot the real gems among the hypes. Are you ready? Basically, there are 6 main factors that we can usually consider before buying our cd or mp3 download:</p>
<p><strong>1. Removal of inner obstacles</strong></p>
<p>These inner obstacles or sometimes called mental blocks are the programmings inside our subconscious mind that were installed from our past experiences. For the self hypnosis  session to work seamlessly, it should remove negative key mental blocks related to our issue first. This is akin to painting an old wall. Before you repaint the wall, you should scrap the old paint off first, so that the new paint will stick perfectly. You might be wondering if different past experiences will create different mental blocks for different people. Well, fortunately, even though our past experiences are unique, for the same issue, we usually have similar key mental blocks. Custom made recording or special session with a hypnotherapist might be needed if you have some deep or difficult to uncover blocks.</p>
<p><strong>2. Building of self confidence and self esteem about the issue</strong></p>
<p>Next, the self hypnosis cd also has to build your confidence and self esteem that you can actually get past your issue. This will be a turbo boost for self change journey. With a “can do” attitude installed, your progress for self change will be smoother and faster.</p>
<p><strong>3. New behavioral patterns programming<br />
</strong></p>
<p>After removing the mental blocks and adding some inner boost, it&#8217;s time for the session to kick into a higher gear. It has to program new thoughts, feelings, and behavioral patterns that reflect the thoughts, feelings, and behavioral patterns of people who you want to become.</p>
<p>The 3 factors above are the most important ones that you have to consider when selecting self hypnosis cds.
